The last eight years I worked hard. I spent the first year and a half of my marriage working six days a week for someone else. When I returned back to work from my unpaid maternity leave, I would leave my baby at 7 in the morning to not get home until after 7 some days. Don’t get me wrong, the work was not for nothing. We have been able gain fruit from our labor and for that I am beyond grateful. We have been able to take trips with our boys and we live in our dream house. However, a month ago, I was exhausted, frustrated, and didn’t want to be away from my boys 12 hours a day. I wanted to be a better wife and get my health back.
About a month ago I left my job and we decided to take our blog to the next level. For us, the next level was to start making money from our blog. I have been searching for how to make money from our blog on Pinterest as well as through Google and let me tell you, there is a ton of information out there.
I have been a follower of The Side Hustle Nation for over a year now as well as The Busy Budgeter. If you aren’t listening to or reading either one of them, you SHOULD! Even if you aren’t a blogger, you need to check them out. They are full of ideas and information that can help anyone. I have learned a ton from them and just from listening and reading their posts, I had a decent idea on how I could make money using affiliates. However, I just wasn’t completely sure how to start.
During my search I found over and over again a course by Making Sense of Cents.
I frequently share with my husband links to articles I want him to read. At first I didn’t realize I had run across the same course recommended multiple times. It wasn’t until I sent him the link to different articles recommending a course that I realized it was the same course being recommended by different people over and over again. Many of these people have very high credibility online and I have been following for months now. I had read how many of them are making $20,000 a month or more using the skills and recommendations they learned from the course. One of the people who recommended the course was Rosemarie from The Busy Budgeter.
One Saturday I sat down and thought…
- This course is being recommended by people I trust.
- These people are insanely successful.
- I want to be like these people one day.
- We would love to make money using our blog.
I came to the conclusion I had nothing to lose and everything to gain. I purchased the course Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing and immediately started implementing the information I was learning.
Within the first two weeks I made my first affiliate money.
Am I making $20,000 a month? Not YET, but I have been in the affiliate business for less than a month and I have already made money while I sleep. I contribute a lot of this success to the Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing course and especially to the Facebook group I have been able to join with the purchase of the course.
The Facebook group is worth just about as a much as the course in my opinion. Why? It has allowed me to see the questions other bloggers have as well as be able to ask the creator of the course and a pro, Michelle, questions to help my site grow. Michelle is currently making over $100,000 a month with her blog. She knows what she is talking about. I also love how the group is only for people who purchase the Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing course. There is no spam and everyone in the group is working towards the same goals. Now that is pretty awesome.
If you are wanting to take your blog to the next level and monetize it or if you have taken it to the next level and are struggling, check out Michelle’s course. It is one of the best investments we have ever made.
